Flash Butt Welding Technician w/CDL Class A

*****WILL TRAIN A CDL-A DRIVER THE FLASHBUTT WELDING PORTION*****

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drive Mobile Welding Truck to job location,
  • Perform daily safety inspections of Mobile Welding Truck,
  • Responsible for notifying supervisor if vehicle needs to be repaired,
  • Setup and alignment of rail and machine prior to commencing welding procedures,
  • Operation of the Mobile Flash Butt Welder,
  • Cutting and grinding of the rail,
  • The safe operation and maintenance of mobile welder, equipment and company vehicles,
  • Ensuring that all technical, safety procedures and contract specific requirements are followed,
  • Other general track maintenance as required.

Qualifications:

· Valid Class A CDL license, standard transmission,

  • Knowledge of all USDOT & FMCSA safety regulations,
  • Experience with airbrakes and standard transmission,

· High school Diploma, or equivalent.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • Subject to pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report review,
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen,
  • This position requires you to pass and maintain a DOT medical evaluation,
  • Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, snow, and sleet.); uneven surfaces; safety sensitive work environment,
  • Able to walk on uneven surfaces over sometimes great distances,
  • Use hands to perform activities involving grasping, turning holding and pulling,
  • Able to work in conditions with loud noise, work around heavy/moving machinery/bend, walk, and stand for extended periods of time,
  • Available to work a 40 hour work week, extended hours when necessary, on call and alternate shifts that may include weeknights, weekends and holidays.

Truck Driver Class A CDL

Job description

If you love variety in where you drive, you’ll love it here at Delta! This driver is responsible for taking equipment and railroad construction materials to and from various job sites and to our rental customers. One week you could be doing local deliveries and the next you could be picking up equipment from a job site 8 states away! Flexibility is a must because the schedule can change unexpectedly as a need comes up. There is no shortage of trips here! Occasionally a trip runs into the weekend, but we keep the work between Monday and Friday as much as possible.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the safe loading and unloading of construction equipment
  • Perform daily safety inspections
  • Responsible for notifying supervisor if vehicle needs to be repaired
  • Drive truck equipped with different trailer combinations; Lowboy, Flatbed and Step deck
  • Maintain completed electronic log (ELDs) and paperwork
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Valid Class A CDL license, standard transmission
  • Must be familiar with the safe operation of construction equipment, Railroad equipment preferred
  • Able to work day or night shifts as required
  • Knowledge of all USDOT & FMCSA safety regulations
  • Experience with airbrakes and standard transmission
  • Ability to calculate weights of equipment with truck/trailer combo to stay within DOT permitting restrictions and guidelines
  • Knowledge of FMCSA cargo securement rules and regulations

Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Job description

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform disassembly, rebuilds, and remanufacturing per requirements.
• Responsible for the understanding and compliance to requirements.
• Capable of using mechanical tools and equipment correctly and safely.
• Responsible for accurate job time reporting.
• Follow remanufacturing procedures/work instructions.
• Follow direction from the Foreman.
• Reports nonconforming products to the Foreman or Quality Control.
• Reports any concerns that could cause delivery issues to the Foreman.
• Responsible for the inspection of parts and products.
• Maintain control of all records per documented procedures/work instructions.
• Correct utilization of appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Responsible for the safe operation of all equipment.
• Responsible for compliance with workplace policies and procedures (Quality Management System).
• Other duties as requested.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent (vocational school preferred)
• Experience with electrical, diesel mechanics, welding, and hydraulics, preferred
• Read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics, preferred
• Minimum 1 year experience in a factory/shop floor environment or in automotive and/or heavy equipment repair, preferred
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently
• Must be willing to certify as a QTE Fork Truck Operator
• Must be proficient in the English language

Qualifications:

· Minimum 5 years experience in painting and preparation

· The ability to communicate in a professional manner with owner’s representatives, coworkers and direct supervisor

General Description: 

The Human Resource Manager provides strategic HR and organizational development guidance to create and engaged and productive workforce through policies, programs and practices.  The Human Resources Manager is responsible for day-to-day support in the areas of staffing, recruitment and selection, employee relations, wage and salary administration, and employee training/orientation, in addition to working with and supporting the leadership team.  This role requires an individual who is skilled in the human resources practices, relationship management and skillfully demonstrates communications with individuals at all levels within the organization.   

Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following: 

  • Lead all full cycle recruiting efforts within compliance guidelines for all operating entities within the organization including job postings, interviews, hiring and onboarding processes, inclusive of new hire orientation. 

  • Supports the maintenance of HRIS system including onboarding, offboarding, benefit portal and employee record updates as needed.  

  • Maintain data integrity of HR systems, analyze employment related data and reporting 

  • Handles and responds to all employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees and leaders 

  • Manage employee relations process including investigations and conflict resolution  

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to manage and enhance the benefit programs including compensation strategy, health insurance and company contributions, expenses, time off and personnel packages. 

  • ACA compliance and experience with administering required forms and practices 

  • Performs Worker’s Compensation and Unemployment administration including incident reporting, filing annual reports and record keeping 

  • Partner with department leaders on workforce planning, position review, aligning budget and productivity metrics. 

  • Develops training materials and performance management programs to ensure employee success and compliance  

  • Manage employee evaluation process and procedures including communication, compliance, and reporting.  

  • Serve as the main point of contact for the HR response to emergencies, disasters and other time-sensitive events 

  • Assists international employees with expatriate assignments and related HR matters
